After I took those photos of the bat on my rug, it moved! Apparently, Darrell just stunned the poor guy and he quickly got under/through the radiator. The next day we went and got some of that bubble sealant stuff, applied it to all porous holes in our bathroom, and hoped he would find his way outside.
Unfortunately, he found his way into our neighbors apartment the next day. I think it is self explanatory how Whitey disposed of the creature.
I wish Darrell and I knew of a way to remove these flying mammals from our home without killing them. Generally, they are good animals but get a bad reputation because they can be rabid. Only 1% of bats have rabies.
Needless to say, I was hoping the bat would find its way out of our house safely and settle far away from here (and kind of sad that he didn't) R.I.P.

You guys are like the Oakland A's. You have no idea what to do with a bat.
