I went into my bathroom last night and thought Darrell was playing a joke on me by placing a fake mouse on the shower curtain. I went to go and take it down and it moved and I screamed like a little girl!
Look at those teeth!

Oh my gosh! I would have had a heart attack!
I remember once when I was still a grad student, a bat somehow got into our lab (we were on the top floor of our building). Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something crawling along the ground. I screamed like a little girl too!
My boss caught it with a butterfly net, and he let it go outside. Maybe that is a way to get them out without killing them...
Bats DO get a bad rap, but they are really great at keeping insect populations in check, particularly mosquitoes!
Hope you don't have any more unwelcome guests, but if you do, try the butterfly net!
